Bad Gastein

Bad (“Spa”) Gastein is an Austrian spa town, best known for its thermal baths since the 13th century. Today it is also a world renown ski resort. Located in the Tohe Tauern National Park in the Salzburg province, the 1,000 meter above sea level alpine climate provides a beautiful escape year round. In addition to Bad Gastein’s hot springs, visitors of all ages enjoy hiking and mountain biking trails in the summertime, and cross-country ski trails and ski runs for all skill levels in the winter. The “Belle Époque” style of the town buildings adds to the charm of visiting this one-of-a-kind Austrian town.
